Garlic Chili Sizzle Noodles

About the Recipe

You can definitely put all your aromatics in the pan together and use less oil, however there is an extra zest that comes from preparing it this method! Either way it only takes 15 minutes...

Ingredients

  • 250 gr organic udon noodles or thick sliced noodles, or ramen noodles, or large rice noodles


  • 2 cups bok choy or brocolini


  • 1 cup edamame or other beans

  • 1/4 cup neutral tasting oil


  • 6 cloves of garlic (chopped or crushed)


  • 1-2 spring onion (thinly sliced)

  • 1 tbsp gochugaru or Shichimi togarashi

  • 2 tbsp dark soy sauce


  • 1 tsp black rice vinegar or the like

  • Sesame seeds and coriander

Preparation

Step 1


Prepare your onion, garlic and veggies and prepare your noodles according to the package.


Step 2


With your tongs take the noodles out of the water and divide into your serving bowls.

Use your noodle water to cook your veggies just for a few minutes.


Step 3

Heat up the oil in a sauce pan. Divide and pour the soy sauce and vinegar over the noodles in your bowls.


Step 4


Place the copped onion, then garlic, then chilli flakes in the centre of your noodles.

Pour the hot oil over your mountain of spices to sizzle in the flavours.


Step 5


Add your veggies and gently mix to combine. Magic...
